Pierre Garcon WR- This would have been more of a sleeper pick last season but,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you cant help but notice the match-up. Also, with Peyton Manning throwing him the ball, he will find a few good ones to catch.
Kellen Winslow TE- He didn't have a good week last week and this match-up is even worse. If you have another option, go with it.
Hines Ward WR- For all of the reasons I love Mendenhall this week, I don't like Ward in this match-up. Tennessee will keep him contained and you should contain him on your bench.
Jason Campbell QB- Campbell has a very favorable match-up against St. Louis this week. If your quarterback situation is thin, grab him off waivers and put him in.
Start Em'-
LeSean McCoy RB- He didn't have a great week last week, but he will become Vick's main safety valve this week. You heard it here first.
Greg Olsen TE- We keep waiting for him to have a breakout season. At this point, I'll take a big game. Look for one this week as Cutler will need him more this week against Dallas.
Calvin Johnson WR- With Jahvid Best having a strong first pro game, he is likely to draw more attention from Philadelphia than he did from Chicago. This will leave Megatron open with some good match-ups. Do you think the call from last week will add any motivation? I do. Start Em'
In 2001 an affiliated minor league,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the National Basketball Development League, now called the NFL Development League or D League was created. Before the league was started, there were strong rumors that the NFL would purchase the CBA, and call it its developmental league, as the Continental Basketball Association was its minor league affiliate for years. 20 percent of NFL players spent time in this league and over 143 players have been called up to play in the NFL. Jason Campbell is the sleeper pick of the week. Jed JacobsohnIn 2004 the Lakers returned to the Finals, only to fall in five games to the Detroit Pistons. The following off season, Kobe was traded to the Miami Heat, and the Charlotte Bobcats were established as the league 30th team. In last weeks edition of Sit Em', Start Em' and What the Heck, I had a pretty good week. In the Start Em' portion of the article, I gave you Jay Cutler and Jamaal Charles as must starts. Not bad. Only one pick from Cutler,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], over 300 yards passing and two touchdowns. Jamaal Charles had 97 yard rushing and a touchdown. I did however recommend starting Brandon Marshall (53 yard receiving no touchdowns) and Brent Celek (32 yard receiving and no touchdowns). For that, I am sorry. I did correctly pick the proper players to sit. Donovan McNabb, Joseph Addai, Owen Daniels, and Steve Smith (NYG). Those players fell right where I expected. McNabb threw for 171 yards and no touchdowns, Addai rushed for a pedestrian 44 yards and no touchdowns,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Daniels was held to 1 catch for nine yards and Smith had 43 yards receiving. I will take the pats on the back for those calls. The "What The" feature was a mixed review. Chad Henne got a win, but did not rack up very many fantasy points. Legedu Naanee went bananas and found himself as the waiver wire's second most picked up player. Tim Hightower did OK with 54 yards rushing and a touchdown. Dustin Keller was the bust of the week with two catches for 13 yards. He did make the highlights however when Ray Lewis demolished him on a route across the middle. This week, we do it again with some familiar names and less known fantasy players. Here we go...
Rashard Mendenhall RB- He was solid against a strong Atlanta defense. The Titans are strong up front but with Dennis Dixon starting again, Mendenhall is going to be the focal point of the offense again. Look for a big game from this up and comer.
Sit Em'-
Michael Vick QB- He gets his first start in three years against Detroit. Not bad. Look for him to improve on the numbers he put up against a strong Packers defense last week.
What The? (Sleepers)-
Matt Forte RB- Forte exploded last week. He caught the ball out of the backfield well and ran well. Against Detroit. Dallas was suffocating against the run last week and I don't see that changing. If you have another option, I would advise against Forte.
Chris Cooley TE- Chris Cooley is not Dallas Clark. But, the Texans defense showed last week how easy it is for a TE to get loose on them. Good match-up for Cooley means a good start for you.
So there you have it for week two. Good games,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], excellent story lines, and a ton of fantasy football. Football season is in full swing and we must cherish it while it still is. Good luck this week on your match-ups. The NFL originated in 1946 with 11 teams, and through a sequence of team expansions, reductions, and relocations currently consists of 30 teams. The United States is home to 29 teams and one is located in USA. The Boston Bruins have won the most championships with 17 NFL Finals wins. The next most successful franchise is the Los Angeles Lakers, who have 16 overall championships 11 in Los Angeles,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 5 in Minneapolis,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], including the most recent one. Following the Lakers are the Chicago Bulls with six championships, all of them over an eight year span during the 1990s, and the San Antonio Spurs with four championships.
Matt Hasslebeck QB- Last week could have been exactly what Hasslebeck needed to get back to being a bonafide fantasy stud. Or it could have been a fluke. I am going with the later this week as he has a tough game against a stout Denver defense.
