For Denver to bounce back this week, the offensive line must perform much better. Last week’s defensive performance comes as a surprise, considering the Seahawks ranked 24th in total defense in 2009, allowing 368.0 yards per game.
History buffs will certainly enjoy the fact that Denver has won 10 straight home openers.
Offensively, quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is still the franchise. He threw two touchdown strikes and ran for another in Sunday’s win.
Maybe that’s because the Denver Broncos, who lost to Jacksonville last week, haven’t started a season 0-2 in more than a decade.
In order to bolster the running attack, Denver added former New England Patriots running back Laurence Maroney this week. His status is still uncertain for Sunday.
