Aloadingstudywascarriedoutbydopingthechromophoreinpolycarbonate (PC) withdifferentmassfractions. Thepolymerfilmswerepreparedandtheglasstransitiontemperatures (Ts), refractiveindices (where), propagationopticalloss (OL) andelectro-opticalcoefficientvalues (33) ofthefilmsweredetermined. The33of16pm/Vwasobtainedandhighervalueisexpectedifpolingconditionsarefurtherimproved. Thedecompositiontemperaturesofthechromophoresaleabove239 ℃. andtheopticallossesofthefilmsat1310nmand1550nmislow. Theseresultsindicatethatthechromophoresareverypromisingcandidatesforpracti-calapplicationsinthefieldofelectro-opticsandphotonics.
