I think he spent so much time on hitting in the offseason and spring training,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], he forgot that what got him there was defense and his ability to do a lot of different things. I think the other thing you have to look at is look at how many games David Murphy played in the minors, how many he’s played in the majors and compare that to what Julio has played in the minors and majors; you’ll see a significant difference and you’ll see why there is still room to grow. And like I said,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I’m not saying that if he stinks after a month or six weeks, then they’d leave him in there.
I think when you’re a player-development club, then when you take that on as your label, you accept the fact that there will be some times where some guys struggle out the gate and we’re going to roll with that because if they get through that, we’ll be a much better team. Because what they want is they want Julio Borbon in September to be a much better player than Julio Borbon in April and to be even closer to being David Murphy.
