I've often wondered why Qusqo is always empty and I think it's because the food is suffering from an identity crisis. Everything was greasy and salty. I ordered a potato cake that tasted like cat food wrapped in potato batter,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with a splash of Palmolive dish soap. My paella was white rice that had been fried with frozen recently microwaved seafood that was chewy and without flavor. There was little seafood to even be found in the mound of rice. There were large chunks of white rice in my paella that confirmed that it wasn't cooked properly. Not good at all.
I don't know what country this food comes from but it was really weird and nothing I have ever eaten in my many trips to Peru.
